“the running man” opening titles

For this brief we were asked to take a horror or sci-fi novel and make an opening sequence for it, but keep it 70’s or 80’s inspired.

I went with Stephen King’s “Running Man”, and lifted the logo design directly from the 80’s novel cover. I leaned into the spotlight idea illuminating parts of the titles while searching. I also paired the sequence with music from “The Truman Show”, specifically when the main character is trying to escape, which I felt worked well with the books themes and my personal take on it.
